DETROIT, Michigan (AP) -- James Nichols, the brother of Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols, says he was tricked into appearing in the documentary "Bowling for Columbine," according to a federal lawsuit filed against filmmaker Michael Moore.
Nichols also alleges in the lawsuit, filed Monday in Detroit, that Moore libeled him by linking him to the terrorist act.
Nichols accuses Moore of libel, defamation of character, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Well, that was awhile ago, of course, and Moore hasn't been...sued...recently...:
(CNN) -- Filmmaker Michael Moore is being sued by an armless Iraqi war veteran who says Moore's controversial movie, "Fahrenheit 9/11," used clips without his permission that misrepresented the veteran and his sentiments about the war.
The suit, which claims "defamation and infliction of emotional distress," also names film executives, distributors and the NBC television network, which shot the original footage Moore used in his film. The suit seeks multi-million dollar damages.
Unlike the Moore lawsuits, Madeleine Albright, Sandy Berger, and American Airlines all have legitimate causes of action, since ABC/Disney was made aware of the fallacious content and chose to broadcast it anyway. But that issue is irrelevant to the ridiculous statement made by MK. Not libelous, just stupid. You know how right when you get ready to type something, and a little voice stops you because you know you're completely full of shit? Does anyone know where MosesKnows can buy one of those?
