Australia's indigenous affairs minister, Jenny Macklin. Illustrates why politicians are reviled by the very people they are supposed to champion.

ONO: Mate you are a hard man. lol Come on, let's get real here, if you had the choice to spend the night on a comfortable boat, with aircon, rather than sleep in the town, where a 'white politician' would need and army of armed guards, what would you do if you were a 'white politician'.
Brendan Nelson did not even stay the night when he visited the Arakun, he bolted before sunset.
I won't put Jenny Mackin down for thinking of her own security ahead of any criticism of her accommodation. She is in the top end talking to communities, and that is more then those other bastards ever did.
Well Kate, another case of publish in haste, repent at leisure.
I was wrong about Macklin, or at least the initial reporter was loose with the truth. It seems the Charter boat she stayed on belongs to the community. They built it and operate it as a charter fishing boat, also, there was not enough room in the community for her entire party anyway.
I apologise to rattler readers (and Jenny Macklin) for believing lying reporters with an axe to grind.
I am pleased with Rudds team so far. I'm impressed with his world trip, lets see what results he can achieve.
