John McCain changing his Depends diaper the day his wife's charity clinic was raided by the DEA. It turned out one of the doctors had called the authorities when he discovered Cindy was using his name and narcotic number to obtain drugs for her own use. The DEA found stockpiles of Vicodin and Percocett in a closet at the McCain home where Cindy claimed she had put them for safekeeping. And, of course, they couldn't believe that the wife of a US Senator and an heiress to the Anheuser-Busch fortune could be involved in drug trafficking. But the shit hit the fan when McCain, through his lawyer, tried to get the good doctor indicted on charges of extortion. The scheme blew up in their faces and Cindy wound up on Dateline, telling the story about her hopeless addiction to "prescription painkillers." Don't believe it? Check it out.
