CHOPPING OUT RUNGS

Think Progress reports that, contrary to Dubya's mealy-mouthed promises, Pell Grants will be frozen for the 4th consecutive year. This after Bush repeatedly pledged to increase them. So, two points:

1. He's a liar.

2. Can any conservative explain to me how making it more difficult for people to go to college is in any sense consistent with the American Dream. Hey, all you dingbats who ask me in PT what our plans are, how about laying off the tax cuts for people who already have plenty of money and instead properly funding a college education for those who can't afford it? If your compassion is so corroded that this doesn't move you, consider self-interest: an educated workforce will create and maintain quality jobs here in America.
