SOMETHING'S FISHY HERE...

...and it isn't the veal. Take a look at Archie's gloating over the sweetheart deal Rush Limbaugh wrangled for himself. Personally, I think nonviolent drug addicts should get treatment over incarceration. But don't fool yourself. Limbaugh reportedly had something on the order of 30,000 pills, and if a poor defendant was caught with that much, he'd be doing hard time.

Take note, though, of how eager Archie is to dismiss the idea that Limbaugh bought his deal. I'm sure Archie has never, ever said that O.J. Simpson bought his acquittal. And tomorrow, Bush will recite Shakespeare on the National Mall. Not freaking likely. And there's no chance that Archie will admit that the ACLU was instrumental in all this, by preventing the DA from opening Rush's medical records.

So, for those of you keeping score at home, here's the deal. Buying your way out of trouble is bad when O.J. does it, but good when Rush does it. And the ACLU is bad when they defend free speech and privacy, as long as that privacy isn't attached to the larcenous butt of Pylonoidal-Cyst Boy:

As for Arch, well, he was twisting and spinning like twine tied on a wind chime. What makes it so delicious is that Archie, after constantly batting down any piece of information contrary to his narrow ideology as being from "the liberal media," is now pointing at the news reports to make his claim. Oh, how I wish I could perform such feats of mental gymnastics. To be able to jettison my principles to defend any transgression of a favored party, it must be grand. Here I am, insisting on fighting for principles, even when they may slice through an ally. I should really look into this whole hypocrisy thing MrArchieBunker has going. Looks like fun.
