IT FEELS GOOD TO BE RIGHT

PalTalk is a terrible guide to what most Americans think. People who like to talk politics are drawn to Social Issues, and we are generally a weird bunch. Now, I will grant you that there are some leftist views expressed on PT that are far outside the norm, but the attitudes from the right are way more disturbing, mainly because more and more radical rightist views have become at least quasireasonable to express, if not to justify.

The right has spent so much time bashing the left that they generally don't even make rational arguments. When Bill Frist says "The Democrats have no ideas," that is an obvious untruth, and he only says it because Reps benefit from constant repetition of that meme.

It should come as no surprise that most Americans support the Democrats in the fight over Samuel Alito. The last poll that came out shows that the majority wants Roe v. Wade in place, would support a filibuster if Alito would threaten Roe, and would disapprove of Reps if they used the nuclear option to break the filibuster.

So, don't listen to the fools on PT who lament about "dumpster babies" and the like. They are a dying breed, and no one cares what they think, except for the radical rightists who have hijacked the Reps. That's what we fight for, and that's why we must filibuster Alito and hold fast. Americans are counting on us.
