BIAS, THY NAME IS FOX NEWS

Secret memo, now public, instructs Fox News bobbleheads on how to slant the news to favor conservatives. Of course, our anonymous harpies will likely try to push the focus onto the bias they imagine seeing in other media sources, (Note: reality has a well known liberal bias) but I wonder if they will even try to explain the blatant bias in this memo. Is it valid? Justifiable? Is this what you think journalism is supposed to be?

Assuming the memo is real, FOX should have its license pulled if it doesn't act quickly to correct the matter. Of course, how we can be sure the problems are fixed, I do not know. Fox can deny the memo, and proving it is lying about that could be difficult. Even a pattern of such memos being proven is not proof that a later memo is real, but it is very damning evidence toward that conclusion.

Anonymous said...

IF its real is a big question.

Why is this different from CNN or Air America? License pulled my ass! PUULEEASSSE!

Its ok when YOU guys do it, but no one else can! LMAO

Hypoctrites! Keep it up, youre just proving what idiots you are. Of course Claus believes anything he sees on the internet and especially on YouTube.

What an excellent example of exactly what I was talking about in my post. He can't defend the memo, he can only point at other things to try and shift focus. CNN does not actively slant the news, cit's just another example of cons "working the ref", complaining about bias constantly to try and get the media to walk on eggshells around them. Air America makes no secret of being a liberal media source. Fox News claims to be fair and balanced. This proves they are neither. Dela with that issue, and stop changing the focus like a coward.

Anonymous said...

Oh those fair and balanced leftyz .... Seems that John Edwards got caught asking Walmart for a Playstation 3 ... AFTER talking all that shit about Walmart during his campaign!!!

"I'm a Senator ...gimmie gimmie gimmie" "I want it first, before the common folk can get it"

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA He's SOOOOO BUSTED!!!!!

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ROFLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

Anonymous said...

I read that!!!! He "demanded the store's electronics manager reserve one for him". What an idiot hypocrite!!! Walmart verified the call came from Edward's office. He was at an anti Walmart rally earlier that day, then calls and "demands" a Playstation 3!!!!!! LMAOOOOO
Walmart said "he wanted to cut in line" ..... Typical libby behaviour.

Well Claus, how can one defend something that probably doesnt exist? You see a YouTube video and think everything is rock solid proof. I have a tip for you. Psstt.... people LIE! OMG I know youre shocked. Who knows if this is even true. Sounds kind of fabricated to me, but good ole Claus believes if its on the internet it is real. Oh, and guess what? Santa Claus isnt real either, even though you see him on TV. Grow up little boy. LOL

News is news. Opinion is opinion. If you arent smart enough to tell the difference then you should stay away from news programs as well as documentaries.

Also...

If you cant see that Keith Olberman is obviously biased and sharing his opinion with you then ..

Step away from the TV!

Incredible.

First of all, John Edwards is considered by some to be a moderate, keep in mind he was Couth Carolinian Senator, a state which one understandably assumes leans moderate to conservative. However, I don't think he's in the Senate anymore. Second, it was reported that one of his aids, not Edwards himself, asked for the PS3 on Edwards behalf, and Edwards denies telling him to name drop to get the machine faster. Perhaps you have heard differently.

As for Air America and CNN, I haven't said a thing about them, because I am not obligated to. The issue I addressed is what the appropriate action should be if it turns out the memo is real and FNC doesn't take substantive steps to address the public confidence devastating problem.

Nice sidestep eff.

Its funny how you guys twist things.

"...John Edwards is considered by some to be a moderate,..."

Moderate MY ASS! He was John Kerrys running mate which makes him pretty much deep up the democrat butt crack. Moderate.. lmao!

Nice twist though eff. You guys always seem to find some way to excuse bad behavior by your people but hell bent and bound to tar and feather conseratives. I can hear your thought process now. "oh he did something not too nice... let's claim hes not really a democrat and closer to the republican side... yeah... hes a moderate!" LMAO

Bunch of dumbasses. Dumbass hypoctires.

FOX NEWS is best for our country???......I think not. Twisted people reporting twisted news to their twisted viewers???? I will continue to gloat and be happy that Fox News has been exposed as the Neo-Nut Propaganda machine that it has always been ...... point that out to your children I am sure they need all the help they can get ...... LMFAO

WFG said...

I said some consider him to be a moderate. If I wanted to wholly refute your charge, I would try harder. My point was your characterization isn't the only one that's out there. I also think it's odd how you are defending, in a sense, moderates from being associated with what you allege Edwards did. It seems to me, you're the type who can't stand moderates. I could be wrong.

The side step, no the massive leap, is you not addressing the story's other details and choosing to simply attack Edwards. Frankly, I'm not sure what he has to do with FOX news and journalistically immoral memos supposedly from the channel.

eff once again you've lost all credibility BEFORE you finished your first sentence.

eff said: "First of all, John Edwards is considered by some to be a moderate, keep in mind he was Couth Carolinian Senator, a state which one understandably assumes leans moderate to conservative."

ok eff I will now destroy your argument in the very first sentence of your statement. Your misspelling of the word "Couth Carolinian" was meant to be South Carolina. John Edwards was a Senator in NORTH Carolina. So you had the entire State wrong. But you didn't let that stop you. You went on to talk about South Carolina politics as if you knew something about the political views of the average South Carolinian. You literally LIED about knowing. You'll probably lie again in a vein attempt to cover your ass by saying, "Oh I MEANT NC", but we all know those are two seperate issues. John Edward's politics is one issue. The politics of SOUTH Carolina or NORTH Carolina are an issue of itself. You pretend to know BOTH, when infact you know neither. If you did, you wouldn't have typed "Couth" which was clearly meant to be "South". The politics of North Carolina and South Carolina are vastly different. How do I know? Because I live in one of them.
You sir are a liar that has been exposed for being the dumbass you are. Now get off this blog and let the adults talk.

WFG said...

I made an error, you pointed it out. I often make typos. I will admit to them readily. I apologize for them. I also did assume, and if that assumption is wrong, I am wrong.

You, Sir, are not the least bit qualified to lecture me on how to act adult.

Nevertheless, I did make an erroneous assumption, and on that you are correct. However, I was not lying about the characterization I heard. I poorly supported it's possible validity, but I was still not lying about my recollection.

Now do you have any more advice for me on maturity?

WFG said...

I made more typos, feel free to point them out, with insults and condescending superiority, as is your style.

Anonymous said...

No dumbass, I wasn't referring to your typo. I only pointed out your typo to clarify which State you were referring to. You know damn well I was referring to YOUR comparison of John Edwards and your attempt to explain the political leanings of South Carolina, to which he isn't a Senator. You on the other hand have lost all credibility on any subject ever discussed on this entire blog, simply because you can't be trusted to not lie. This is one more example of leftyz using lies and disinformation to further their sick twisted agenda. You tried to justify Edwards actions by comparing him to the general political views of the voters in SC. You then pretended to know all about SC voters and attempted to explain how they felt and thought. Now that you know SC voters have nothing to do with Edwards, you're trying to escape with even more lies and avoid the issue altogether. You sir are BUSTED for being the idiot fraud you are. Nothing that comes out of your postings can be trusted as fact in the future. You remind me of zombiemaster, who will be trying to explain himself away about his remarks towards the SI phtographer. One day he's posting how the site is funny as shit, the next day he's threatening them with violence. I'm sure your lies will continue and I'll be here to expose you for what you are. That's just what you leftyz love to do. Lie to the people.

I made an error, I didn't check my facts. I honestly thought he thought he was a S. Carolina Senator. If that's a lie, it wasn't malicious. However, I will concede that your contention that he is more accurately associated with the left because he was a running mate of Kerry's is superior to my reference to there existing opinions that he is a moderate. I have conceded to my errors. You don't care about that, you just want to be a bully. You also regularly parse and distort arguments, and half ass answer rebuttals, so where you get off lecturing people on factual errors is beyond me. But I shouldn't expect much from an immoral, paranoid psychopath, should I?

You are a moron or need help bad. I haven't further lied, as you call it. I admitted I was wrong. You're seriously brain damaged. I made major factual and logical errors. What else do you want. I have admitted that you are largely correct. What is wrong with you?

"altogether. You sir are BUSTED for being the idiot fraud you are. Nothing that comes out of your postings can be trusted as fact in the future. You haven't the evidence to assert that, and you know it. My credibility is fine. You aren't qualified to judge it. Not in the least.

Top Ten Cheney Lies of the Vice Presidential Debate

From the Democratic National Committee:

LIE # 1: I Have Never Met Edwards Before

"Now, in my capacity as vice president, I am the president of Senate, the presiding officer. I'm up in the Senate most Tuesdays when they're in session. The first time I ever met you was when you walked on the stage tonight." [Dick Cheney, Vice Presidential Debate, 10/5/04]

FACT: Cheney Had Met Edwards on At Least Three Prior Occasions

"On Feb. 1, 2001, the vice president thanked Edwards by name at a Senate prayer breakfast and sat beside him during the event." [AP, 10/6/04]

"On April 8, 2001, Cheney and Edwards shook hands when they met off-camera during a taping of NBC's ‘Meet the Press,’ moderator Tim Russert said Wednesday on ‘Today.’" [AP, 10/6/04]

"On Jan. 8, 2003, the two met when the first-term North Carolina senator accompanied Elizabeth Dole to her swearing-in by Cheney as a North Carolina senator." [AP, 10/6/04]

At least Edwards didn't shoot someone in the face to get the Playstation 3. If this story about Edwards is correct it is very hypocritical of him. Yet, that does not excuse the lies of our elected and appointed officials in this administration. Nor is it excuseable to say all leftyz or righties lie. Politicians, no matter what party need to be exposed if they are hypocrits.

"Closer to home, the PS3 launch caused some embarrassment for our former senator and presidential candidate, John Edwards. Having overheard a discussion where Mrs. Edwards said she'd like to buy a PS3 for her family, an office volunteer took it upon him- or herself to call around seeking one, and name-dropping Edwards' identity in the process."
http://www.hendersondispatch.com/articles/2006/11/18/news/opinion/opin01.txt

"Even former Senator John Edwards became entangled in the PS3 scramble. Wal-Mart said a staffer had asked to get a machine for Edwards, who has criticized the retailer's treatment of workers. Edwards said the staffer acted without permission and denied he wanted a PS3 from Wal-Mart."
http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/provider/providerarticle.aspx?feed=OBR&Date=20061117&ID=6206630

"Even a volunteer for former Sen. John Edwards of North Carolina asked for help in getting a PS3 — from Wal-Mart Stores, which the potential 2008 presidential candidate frequently criticizes."

That enough for you, anonymous?

Anonymous said...

eff,

You stating that Edwards is a moderate is enough of a stretch of truth than even your typos or slip of what state he is from. The fact that you would even begin to cover for him by saying he really wasnt a democrat that he was more moderate has NOTHING to do with what he did! He is a democrat and he used his hypocritical ways to get something by using his position. You would not allow that behavior to go by without tarring and feathering a republican who might try that. So by you stating he was more moderate says you think that behavior is ok as long as its one of your own.

Democrats dont see bad behavior on the part of democrats, only when Republicans do it. Very hypocritical I must say.

I should reply to Michelles posts. Michelle thinks a blog spot is truth and uses them as links to such. She and Claus are living together in his mothers basement and think that anything they see on TV or the internet is the truth........... as long as it fits their agenda.

WFG said...

Where do you come up with this stuff. You don't know my opinions. Nothing you say is supported logically, you just defaultly choose the direct opposite of your already ludicrous arguments. And not all Democrats are liberals. I stated he is not considered far left by some to put in balance to your assertion, as I believe he has been stated as being a moderate. Besides which, I think I agreed that my vague reference to some people is inferior to your evidence of him as a moderate.

Btw, this might surprise you, but I actually felt sympathy for people that were calling Tom Delay guilty of crimes for which we was not convicted based on his supposed bullying behavior.

For an example someone can attest to, ask Claus how willing I was to accuse Bush of knowingly lying.

WFG said...

Your evidence of him as a liberal. I apologize. I have some form of dyslexia.

Michelle said...

Yeah, that's it! I live in my Mum's basement. It is nice! JC and I get served milk and cookies every night while we are trying out our new PS3. I wanted the WII, but he insisted on asking Mum for the PS3. She figured if John Edwards wanted one, well, what the hell, fellow Dems should get one too! So she agreed. Sigh.

Anyhoo...most of these truths of lies by the three stooges are documented repeatedly with their own lips. Real mature of you to say ALL of the media lies. Anyone with a pair of ears would hear the lies that spewed from their lips. So, basically what anonymous is saying...is that she/he is a liar?

eff has it ever crossed your mind WHY Edwards has a staff? The man has no job. He's a FORMER Senator. He's not even practicing law right now. (ambulance chasing rather)

Can things get so hectic out there while making Walmart speeches, that you barely have time to reserve a Playstation 3?

He KNEW .... He's a hypocrite ... it happened on HIS DIME ... on HIS WATCH ... by HIS STAFF

If Bush can be blamed for what soldiers do in the feild, then Edwards most certainly can be blamed for this.

WFG said...

As far as I know, you aren't allowed to reserve PS#s at Wal Mart. Also, he may have a staff because he can afford it. Not being a Senator any longer doesn't automatically effect whether he has a staff, payed or volunteered.

"In disbelief, Delgado called the customer hotline for Wal-Mart's corporate offices. He was told the company had a first-come, first-served policy. He then asked a Wal-Mart employee at the Customer Service area in the Newport News store if the list would be honored. He said he was told no. So he continued to wait.

According to a Wal-Mart Stores Inc. spokesperson, Wal-Mart's policy was to sell the PS3s on a first-come, first-served basis. No pre-orders were accepted for the launch of the game system."

http://www.dailypress.com/news/dp-83008sy0nov18,1,5963404.story?ctrack=1&cset=true

Btw, I've never blamed Bush for what soldiers do on the battlefield. Does he bear some responsibility? Yes, but any President would have to, but I don't place that exclusively on his feet.

WFG said...

PS3. Oh and is't Edwards wealthy?

WFG said...

Not that there aren't other examples, but didn't O'Reilly admit to the Peabody error?

eff,

Any GOOD leader takes responsibility for his "troops" actions regardless if he had anything to do with it. A good coach takes responsibility for a bad game instead of blaming it on his team. Bush is a good leader in that respect.

"As far as I know, you aren't allowed to reserve PS#s at Wal Mart."

WHY do you think he threw around his NAME being an ex-SENATOR and ex-PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE?????

Give me a break! You guys think youre democrat leaders shit gold and do no wrong. You can dish it but you cant take it! Face it, Edwards used his position to try to gain something over other Americans.... he used his MONEY and INFLUENCE, that you guys hate so much, to his advantage. You all hate wealth so much but defend the democrat wealthy to the end. Why the double standard?

WFG said...

Let's see if this can be explained to you.

Your evidence that Edwards is guilty of having told his staffer to do this is non other than your own bias against Edwards, which isn't evidence.

It was stated that a staffer acted independently. That the staffer may have had the impression from the conversation (which, if you actually read evidence that might contradict your beliefs, you know of) between Edwards and his wife, is not withstanding the lack of evidence that a direct order was given, and no one has claimed that it was. Believe what you want about the situation, it is irrelevant.

Edwards never, so far as I know, threw around his name, a staffer did. You cannot defacto blame leadership for every instance.

Furthermore, your entire commentary on Edwards is a red herring. Edwards is not a member of news journalism, not even a commentator in an official capacity. Edward behavior, or that of one of his staffers, represents an anecdotal bit of evidence that not all persons, liberal or not, behave with propriety, but it is not evidence, let alone proof, of inconsistency in fairness and balance on the liberal side. But I am not here to present all liberals as fair.

Your argument is a distraction.

You're stubborn and embarrasing defense of it, aside from the correction of my errors, an insult to reason.

You have violated more levels of fair discourse than my admitted errors ever have.

You only want to hear yourself speak.

Now, are you quite done being a dimwit? I for one am tired of reading your imbecilic rebuttals, as most of them are.

WFG said...
