Sometimes it is beyond belief how stupid PT neocons are. As soon as the Fox Droids and Rush start rattling off the latest GOP spin, you can be sure that idiots like Brutelogic and Vic will come in and repeat them, verbatim, without any understanding of what they're saying.
Today the meme is that since Democrats said that Saddam was a potential threat at one time, therefore that is exactly equal to and an endorsement of Bush's foolish full-scale invasion and occupation of Iraq. A lobotomized sea otter can instantly see how fallacious this argument is. Firstly, tough talk and threats against Saddam were part of a global strategy to contain the threat, and it had basically succeeded. Saber rattling was a means to show Saddam that if he stepped out of line, he'd be swiftly punished. That is a far cry from Bush and his cronies inventing a nonexistent threat and then overreacting to it.
But even more damning are the events of 1998, that these dim-witted Repukes hope you've forgotten. Even while being impeached, Bill Clinton was able to focus attention on Saddam's noncompliance with inspections, plan an appropraite response, and execute a multi-day precision bombing campaign known as Operation Desert Fox. Remember those quotes we keep hearing from Buttlogic from Dems? You'd better believe he doesn't want you to find the bilge spilling from Repuke lips that week, what with "Wag the Dog", and "No War for Monica", and "The president has made grave errors in judgement,l" etc, etc.
Hey, Buttlogic, answer this, if you have the balls. If Saddam was such a massive threat, then aren't all of those Republicans who moaned and wailed about Desert Fox guilty of jeopardizing national security? Yeah, I thought so...
